Product Description

This is a beautiful Souvenir Sheet, issued in 2012 in Burundi, commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Hindenburg Disaster. The sheet features an image of the disaster, when the German passenger airship LZ 129 Hindenburg caught fire and was destroyed during its attempt to dock with its mooring mast at the Lakehurst Naval Air Station, New Jersey. The stamp features an image of Ferdinand von Zeppelin, the German general and later aircraft manufacturer, who founded the Zeppelin Airship company. It also features an image of the LZ 129 Hindenburg in flight. The sheet is Scott catalog #1093, and is Post Office fresh, mint never hinged, and F/VF.
