This is a beautiful sheet of 3 stamps, issued in 2012 in the Republic of Guinea, commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Hindenburg catastrophe of May 1937, when the German passenger airship LZ 129 Hindenburg caught fire and was destroyed during its attempt to dock with its mooring mast at the Lakehurst Naval Air Station, New Jersey. The stamps each feature different images related to the catastrophe and additional cultural icons of the time, including airship designer Ludwig Durr, and American track and field athlete Jesse Owens, who was the most successful athlete at the 1936 Summer Olympics. The sheet also features an image of Paul von Hindenburg, the second President of Germany for whom the doomed airship was named. The sheet is Michel catalog #9103-5, and is Post Office fresh, mint never hinged, and F/VF.
