Each stamp includes an image of Schweitzer, the German and then French theologian, organist, philosopher, physician, and medical missionary. One stamp includes images of the Nobel Peace Prize, which Schweitzer won in 1952. The second stamp includes an image of the Albert Schweitzer Hospital in Lambarene (now Gabon), which he opened in 1956. The third stamp includes an image of Schweitzer giving medical help to people in Africa. The sheet is Michel catalog #9264-6, and is Post Office fresh, mint never hinged, and F/VF.
