The three stamps include images of historical figurines and pieces, including Lewis figures from the 12th century, a set of 12th century Chatrang pieces (the chess game of ancient Persia), and traditional Indian chess figures from the 16th century. The sheet includes a lengthy description of the history of the game of chess over 1500 years, from India, to Persia, and onto Europe. The sheet is Post Office fresh, mint never hinged, and F/VF.
