This is a beautiful 3 stamp sheet, issued by Guinea in 2012, featuring the 150th anniversary of the birth of Claude Debussy (1862-1918). The stamps all feature an image of the composer who is considered a crucial figure in the transition to the modern era in Western music, and remains one of the most famous and influential of all composers. Also included on the stamps is an image of a 20 franc bill from 1990-2001 with Debussy's picture, a scene from his opera "Pelleas et Melisande," and an image and text explaining that Debussy was made Chevalier of the Legion of Honour in 1903. The background sheet includes a paragraph describing Debussy's life and work. The sheet is Post Office fresh, mint never hinged, and F/VF.
