This is a beautiful sheet of 3 stamps, issued in the Republic of Guinea in 2012, commemorating the 45th anniversary of the death of Soviet pilot and cosmonaut Vladimir Mikhailovitch Komarov. The stamps include images of Komarov, who became known as the first cosmonaut to fly into outer space (on the Soyuz 1), as well as the first human to die during a spaceflight. The stamps also feature images of the series of Soyuz spacecrafts. The sheet background includes a detail from the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. The set is Post Office fresh, mint never hinged, and F/VF.
