The stamps feature images of some inventions of da Vinci, the Italian Renaissance painter, sculptor, architect, musician, scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist, and writer. The images include a model for a grinding machine, a flying machine and flying wings, a cannon, and a boat. Also included is an image of da Vinci holding a model of a tank that he designed.
