This is a beautiful sheet of 4 stamps plus an attached Souvenir Sheet, issued in 2012 in the Solomon Islands, commemorating the 70th anniversary of the World War II Guadalcanal Campaign. This is a large sheet, almost 10 inches long by about 5 inches high, and features images and scenes from the first major offensive by Allied forces against the Empire of Japan fought on and around the island of Guadalcanal in the Pacific theatre of World War II. Each stamp includes an image of a soldier who earned a Medal of Honor for their actions in the offensive: Harold William Bauer, Jefferson Joseph DeBlanc, Mitchell Paige, John Basilone, and Alexander Archer Vandegrift. The sheet is Michel catalog #1526-30, and is Post Office fresh, mint never hinged, and F/VF.
