This is a beautiful sheet with a sheet of 4 stamps plus an attached Souvenir Sheet, issued in 2012 in the Solomon Islands, featuring Lapita Pottery of the region. This is a large sheet, which measures almost 10 inches long by about 5 inches high. The 4 stamp sheet highlights the low-fire earthenware pottery, which has its characteristic dentate (toothed) stamped designs. Each stamp includes an image of the pottery with a description, as well as various shells of sea snails and nautilus. The Souvenir Sheet includes a description of the pottery, as well as a Lapita Pottery ornament (in full, as well as in detail in the background) and a sea snail shell. The sheet is Michel catalog #1456-60, and is Post Office fresh, mint never hinged, and F/VF.
