This is a beautiful Souvenir Sheet, issued by the Republic of Togo in 2012, featuring shells in nature, art and architecture. The sheet features two paintings of sea shells and aquatic life: Giuseppe Arcimboldo's "Water" (1566) in the foreground and a detail from Balthasar van der Ast's "Still Life with Flowers, Shells and Insects" (1635) in the background. The stamp includes an image of Aprhodite Anadyomene rising from her shell found in ancient Panticapaeum (dating from late 1st century BC to early 1st century AD.) The stamp also includes an image of a Tibia fusus. The sheet is Post Office fresh, mint never hinged, and F/VF.
