This is a beautiful Souvenir Sheet, issued in 2012 in Turks & Caicos, celebrating the 50th anniversary of John Glenn's orbit aboard Friendship 7. The stamp features an image of the astronaut John Glenn, the first American to orbit the Earth and the third American in space. The sheet includes an image of the Mercury spacecraft, named Friendship 7, which was the successful first attempt by NASA to place an astronaut into orbit. The sheet also includes the insignia of the mission. The sheet is Post Office fresh, mint never hinged, and F/VF.
